At Get Driven, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Lignaverda, a leader in environmental innovation, as part of our commitment to a sustainable, net-zero future. Together, we are contributing to creating 75 hectares of new forest in Senegal, directly supporting Africa’s Great Green Wall initiative. This initiative marks an essential step forward in offsetting our carbon footprint while fostering positive environmental and social impact.
Our CEO, Helena Brustaert, shares what this milestone means for Get Driven and the future of mobility. “We believe that true leadership goes beyond exceptional service—it demands a commitment to leave the world better than we found it. Our partnership with Lignaverda is a clear statement of our dedication to that vision,” Brustaert explains. “This project is about more than reducing emissions. It’s about investing in a greener, healthier future that empowers communities and protects our planet.”
Through this initiative, Get Driven will actively offset our platform’s residual emissions, reinforcing our pledge to sustainability. The forestation project in Senegal also serves as a source of local empowerment, providing economic opportunities and supporting the regional community.
To enhance the effectiveness of our sustainability initiatives, Lignaverda will monitor and verify CO2 capture across the forest. This approach brings transparency and accountability to our carbon offsetting goals, ensuring measurable results.
Additionally, the project includes installing weather stations to support local farmers with essential climate data, helping them optimize planting and harvesting schedules. This approach strengthens ecological and agricultural resilience, contributing to sustainable development in the region.
By supporting the Great Green Wall, Get Driven is addressing global challenges like desertification and climate resilience. This project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly climate action (SDG 13), life on land (SDG 15), and sustainable economic growth (SDG 8).
Our partnership with Lignaverda amplifies our dedication to building a sustainable future, contributing to both environmental restoration and community growth.
This collaboration with Lignaverda is more than just a project—it’s a reflection of how Get Driven is transforming mobility. Our clients expect excellence, and we believe that includes environmental and social responsibility. By integrating sustainability into our core mission, we are building a platform that aligns with the values of our clients and contributes to a better future.
As we continue on this journey, we look forward to setting a new standard in green mobility. Our commitment to a carbon-neutral future is a defining element of Get Driven, and with the support of our clients and partners, we are driving toward a world where convenience and sustainability go hand in hand.
